Handmade pottery mug made in the Fayoum Oasis, Egypt.

Made by the talented Potter Gomaa, who has a very distinctive style that is reflected in his unique pieces. His work is inspired by the nature of the oasis, with a mix of his passion of using different firing techniques to get his brassy effects. 

This piece is completely handmade by Gomaa, from the mixing of the finest `aswanley ´ clay (from Aswan) to the shaping on a manual foot pedal pottery wheel to the drawing, painting and firing in his kiln. 

Every mug is a work of art, they are both functional and a celebration of heritage.

Each mug is unique in design, size and shape. 

All of our Fayoum Pottery is meticulously crafted by hand, which means there may be slight imperfections, subtle variations in color, and minor differences in sizing. We embrace these nuances as they capture the inherent beauty and charm of handmade items.

Size : height 8-9.5 cm diameter approx 8cm 

Capacity: approx 280 to 320ml.

Care instructions:

Please do not place in the microwave, directly on top of a burner, or in the oven. 

We recommend hand washing in warm water and drying. Avoid using harsh scrubbing cream or pads to clean as this can scratch the surface. 

These pieces  are meant to be used, held and enjoyed on a daily basis. Proper care and handling of the pieces will help retain their beauty and function for years
